Ready to extend all possible assistance: PM Modi writes to Japanese PM Fumio Kishida after earthquake

Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida after a 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Noto peninsula in Japan. Modi expressed solidarity with Japan and offered assistance. The earthquake caused widespread devastation, triggering a tsunami and leaving 94 dead and 200 missing. Japan accepted aid only from the United States. This earthquake which resulted in at least 94 deaths could be the deadliest since the 2011 earthquake and tsunami on Japan's east coast.
